Alitalia will launch Premium Economy service on select intercontinental routes starting in August 2010.
The service will be available for sale on routes operated by the new A330 aircraft, which will be used on our nonstop flights from the US to Milan.
Beginning on August 10, 2010, the service will be available from New York - JFK to Milan.
On June 3, 2010, Alitalia will launch Miami - Milan nonstop and a new A330 will begin service on the route on August 12th.

PREMIUM ECONOMY SERVICE FEATURES
The new cabin aims to offer a premium level of service versus economy class for a reasonable difference in price.
Passengers start enjoying benefits on the ground, with:
- Increased baggage allowance to/from the US (1 piece of approx. 70lbs vs. 50lbs in economy)

- 10.6" screen (vs. 9" in economy class) with Personal Entertainment System (PES)
- an Amenity Kit in line with those offered on medium-haul flights
- noise cancellation earbuds to improve audio quality
- a USB plug to charge PCs or stream files from personal media devices (iPod) to the PES screen.
